Domestic UAC or Gateway applicants: you must complete your acceptance using UNSW Onboarding.

All other applicants: you must accept your offer via the UNSW Applicant Portal.

This will depend on several factors including, but not limited to, commencement term, your program of study, and/or whether you are an international or a domestic student.

Domestic UAC or Gateway applicants: details of when your offer will expire are provided when you login to UNSW Onboarding.

All other applicants: please refer to your Offer Letter for expiry details.

Please note that the University has a quota system, to ensure each faculty's enrolment is maintained at a level which maximises the quality of the teaching and learning experience at UNSW. The quota may be reached before the deadline - especially in high demand areas such as Commerce and faculties with limited places such as Medicine. We advise you to accept your offer as early as possible and not to wait until the deadline.

You will need your zID and Password to log in.

If you are accessing UNSW Onboarding for the first time, you will need to activate your zID and create a password.

Domestic UAC or Gateway applicants: you’ll need your UAC or Gateway Application Number and the UAC Course code for the program you have been offered.

All other applicants: you must first accept your offer through the UNSW Applicant Portal, and make sure you have your zID ready.

If you are a Domestic UAC or Gateway applicant, UNSW Onboarding is where you will be able to accept, defer or decline your offer to study at UNSW and prepare for enrolment at UNSW by confirming your personal contact details, completing statistical information for Government and University reporting, applying for HECS-HELP/FEE-HELP (if applicable), and agreeing to UNSW Terms and Conditions.

If you are an International UAC applicant, the UNSW Applicant Portal is where you will receive an offer and be able to accept, defer or decline that offer. You will use UNSW Onboarding to prepare for enrolment at UNSW by confirming your personal contact details, completing statistical information for Government and University reporting, applying for HECS-HELP/FEE-HELP (if applicable), and agreeing to UNSW Terms and Conditions.

For all other applicants, the UNSW Applicant Portal is where you can apply to study at UNSW, receive an offer and be able to accept, defer or decline that offer. You will use UNSW Onboarding to prepare for enrolment at UNSW by confirming your personal contact details, completing statistical information for Government and University reporting, applying for HECS-HELP/FEE-HELP (if applicable), and agreeing to UNSW Terms and Conditions.

If you have already accepted an offer for an upcoming commencement term and receive another, you must decide which program you'd like to enrol in before accepting. If you accept the new offer, you will be automatically withdrawn from the previous program. If you change your mind later, it may not be possible to reinstate a previous offer.

If you are currently enrolled in a program at UNSW and you are NOT expecting to graduate before you commence your new program, you may be asked to discontinue from your current program in UNSW Onboarding. Please note that discontinuing will not prevent you from receiving your results.

If you are a domestic student and you are eligible to apply for HECS-HELP/FEE-HELP you will be able to access the HELP form in UNSW Onboarding.

You will receive confirmation at the end of UNSW Onboarding that you have submitted your request and you will be able to save a copy for your records.

After you have accepted your offer and completed UNSW Onboarding, you will be able to enrol in your courses. Close to term commencement, you will be able to access UNSW IT Services, collect your student ID card and attend Orientation Week. Please visit Getting Started for details.

Once you complete the steps in UNSW Onboarding you will be ready to enrol in your courses. If enrolment has already opened, you will be taken to select your courses. If enrolment has not opened, you can check your enrolment opening date at the end of UNSW Onboarding.

If you are an Undergraduate, Honours, Postgraduate or Postgraduate Online Coursework student, enrolment normally opens for the next year in early October.

If you are a Research student, enrolment normally opens for the year in early January.

If you are a Non-award and Cross-institutional student, your enrolment will be done by staff close to term commencement, and once you have completed UNSW Onboarding.
